Grandsitting Day 1

Sunday, July 30th

The kids slept over, and we eased ourselves into the day on Sunday. For the first time, the two girls slept in the basement, while Momma & Papa slept in the guest room.

Isabelle made herself a yogurt parfait, then toast.

First up, Foam Girls. After everyone had showers, we were dressed.

Next, a trip to the Ribfest in Perth. As we turned around to manoeuvre into a parking spot, the kids noticed that we had a flat tire. JL took JB into Canadian Tire to get a repair job done, while the girls went and play on the bouncy stuff.
Lemonade, to quench our thirst. Bouncy castles, and fun.

The men came back. We ordered a platter and dug in! It was quite hot. There were coffees, and banana splits after!

Face painting! Then, the old cars.

Home for a quiet time, a movie, Pete's Dragon, some stories, sandwiches, veggies & dip for dinner, and bedtime!  A bit of a Facetime with Momma & Papa, first, they were out for dinner, about to take in Dunkirk at the Imax! A good time had by all.

Bedtime was another Nebuchadnezzar story!
The music was fun.

Parking in Perth. I remember trying to take the grands to Stewart Park for a picnic lunch one day, and we couldn't find parking, so we returned to CP. I imagine there was parking at some distance from the park, but one doesn't want to port a picnic lunch too far.

It sounds like you're having fun!

The ribfest people were up here some weeks back, and tend to come back in the early fall too.
