Herons have arrived
Great blue heron from Jennifer Jilks on Vimeo.
I thought I spotted a heron on the nest. The wetland water is still frozen on March 30th.
This rookery is just above an arm of a wetland. The lakes nearby are frozen, as well.
My Vancouver-based son told me about a Vancouver live Heron cam!

I haven't seen one yet, but the rivers are opening up.
