Babysitting Day 3: Wakey wakey time!

Every morning, on a school day, my Daddy would come in and wake me up saying, "Wakey, wakey time! Daylight in the swamp!" Now we live in a swamp!
In I went... They look so peaceful when they are sleeping, but we have had much fun when they are awake!

Bubbles and kiddie pool!
'Twas another fun day. Lots of crafts, Isabelle made a truck out of a box, Josephine kept working on her Art in the Barn box. Then she built a Sculpture in the Barn box. That was a field trip that keeps on giving!

All were nibbling on the grass
We went into to Rideau Ferry General Store for supplies, the girls bought a Close Eyes for mommy and papa when they return.

Apparently, there is a bit of a problem with the Canada
Geese who bring their babies up on shore for a bite to eat.
Every morning, at 4 a.m., dawn, in they come. With all the cottagers up, they cannot feed on those meticulously preened lawns. (I never understood why people want lawns at the cottage! Especially when it involves chemicals, which seep into the shallow lakes, just to kill the dandelions. Of course, it attracts the geese who have been raising babies.)
We saw a blue heron fly by.

The girls found the signage and old photos great.
Some were taken before Grampa was born!
Momy and PaPa are off camping in Gros Morne Park. They have better weather out there!

What fun! Makes me miss my two...although, in truth, I am enjoying some quiet alone time right now.

You've got to have great stamina to entertain these two for a few days. On the other hand they provide entertainment for Grandma. We had a visit with our grand kids in June. They are 12 and 14 and still loads of fun.
